We reply within a few business days, in French or English. Since the app sends us nothing, no error report reaches us automatically: describe what you were doing, your iPhone model, your iOS version and the AI model you were using.

Getting started

  1. Open the app and go to the models tab.
  2. Download a model suited to your iPhone (see the table below). This is the only time the app connects.
  3. Go back to the chat and type. You can switch to airplane mode: everything keeps working.

Which model to choose

A model too heavy for your iPhone slows the app down or makes it quit. If in doubt, pick the model just below.

Common issues

The app slows down or closes on its own

The model is probably too heavy for your iPhone. Delete it from the models tab and pick the one on the next row of the table.

The download stops or fails

Models weigh from 290 MB to 4.6 GB. Use Wi-Fi, keep the app in the foreground, and check that there is enough free space on the iPhone. Restarting the download resumes where it stopped.

My conversation disappeared

That is the intended behavior: unless you act, nothing is written to storage and everything is erased when the app closes. To keep an exchange, tap “Keep” before leaving.

Dictation does not start

Dictation runs on the device and requires iOS 26 and microphone permission (Settings › DontKeep). iOS downloads the recognition resources for your language once; no audio file is created.

The answer is wrong

Local models are small. They are very good at writing, summarizing and explaining, but they know nothing about current events and can make things up. Always check important information.

Erasing everything

The trash button clears the current conversation and the model’s working memory, without confirmation. A swipe deletes a kept conversation. Deleting the app removes the models and kept conversations.

Meeting mode does not appear

It requires iOS 26 and an iPhone where Apple’s speech recognition runs on the device. On an older iPhone, the app says so when you open the screen. Also check the microphone permission, in Settings › DontKeep.

I bought DontKeep Pro and it is not active

In the app: Settings › DontKeep Pro › “Restore purchases”. The purchase is tied to your Apple account, not to a DontKeep account: it restores on every device using the same account. Refunds are requested from Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
